- 1-1.5 cups of blueberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1/3 cup date paste (adjust as desired)
- 1 tbsp water (optional, for easier stirring)
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice (optional)
- 1 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
Make the date paste according to my pinned recipe.
In a medium-sized saucepan, mix the blueberries, date paste and water.
Bring to a boil and then lower to medium heat. Stir occasionally, allowing the blueberries to break down and and the paste to thicken, about 5-10 minutes.
Stir in the lemon juice.
Remove the jam from the heat and let cool.
For a thicker jam, add chia seeds.
Transfer to sterilized jars and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Storage:
Keep the jam in a sterilized, airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. For longer storage, freeze in small containers and thaw as needed.
